Jordan names esports team for 2026 Asian Games in Japan

Jordan has named the players who will represent the country across four esports titles at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan, as the national team steps up preparations for the event.

The Jordanian team will compete in eFootball, eFootball Mobile, PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang at the 20th Asian Games, which will take place in Nagoya from September 19 to October 4, according to the Jordan Olympic Committee.

Saif Dababneh will represent Jordan in eFootball, while Wissam Owaisat will compete in eFootball Mobile.

Jordan’s PUBG Mobile roster includes Laith Mheidat, Mohammad Adasi, Omar Deeb, Omar Saif and Haitham Masri, under coach Tareq Khatatneh.

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team consists of Moayad Abdullah, Mohammad Wahdani, Huthaifa Abu Abta, Tharaa Marzouq, Yazan Sawaris and Mahmoud Ali, with Ahmad Zaghloul as coach.

National esports teams director Marwan Abu Ghosh said preparations were progressing according to schedule as players work to improve their readiness ahead of the competition.

He said Jordan is targeting strong performances and hopes to compete for leading positions, with the country aiming to secure its first esports medal at the Asian Games.

Abu Ghosh added that Jordan expects strong competition from some of Asia’s leading national teams and players.

Esports competition at the Asian Games is scheduled to take place from September 23 to October 2 at the Aichi Sky Expo in Nagoya.
