The Esports World Cup 2026 drew a highly diverse audience across countries, languages and games, with no single market accounting for a dominant share of community-casting watch time, according to data from Esports Charts.

Esports Charts analyzed the estimated audience geography and demographic profiles of selected EWC 2026 co-streaming channels. The analysis excludes official broadcasts, meaning the figures reflect the audience captured by community casts rather than the entire EWC viewership.

India emerged as the largest individual market in the analysis, accounting for 12.2% of estimated EWC co-streaming Hours Watched. The United States and Russia followed among the leading markets, but the three countries combined represented just 32.1% of the estimated watch time.

No individual country accounted for even 13% of the analyzed co-streaming audience. France, meanwhile, ranked sixth with 4.5% of estimated co-streaming Hours Watched. The language breakdown further illustrates the geographic spread of the EWC audience. English was the largest language, accounting for 30.4% of community-casting Hours Watched. However, Russian represented 11.8%, followed by Hindi at 7.3%, Vietnamese at 6.8%, French at 5.7%, Indonesian at 5.3%, Portuguese at 4.3%, and Spanish at 4%.

Taken together, languages other than English represented nearly 70% of community-casting watch time in Esports Charts' analysis. The data also suggests that English-language broadcasts reached well beyond traditionally English-speaking markets. English accounted for 30.4% of watch time, compared with a combined 16.9% share for the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

The viewership distribution at EWC 2026 became considerably more concentrated when Esports Charts examined individual games. PUBG Mobile had the strongest geographic concentration among the five titles compared. India, Nepal, and Türkiye together accounted for 77.5% of its estimated co-streaming Hours Watched. For the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup 2026, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia represented 73.6%.

Other major titles showed similarly distinct regional patterns. Russia accounted for 35.6% of Counter-Strike's estimated co-streaming Hours Watched, while Vietnam represented 30.4% of the League of Legends breakdown. Esports Charts cautioned that the Vietnam figure applies to the co-streaming channels included in its analysis and should not be interpreted as the geographic composition of the entire EWC League of Legends audience.

India's position as the largest overall market was closely tied to the popularity of mobile esports within the analyzed sample. PUBG Mobile and Free Fire together accounted for 95.4% of India's estimated EWC co-streaming Hours Watched. Indonesia showed a similarly strong preference for MLBB, which accounted for 83.1% of the country's estimated co-streaming watch time.

The United Kingdom was more concentrated around League of Legends, which represented 51.2% of its estimated EWC co-streaming Hours Watched. The United States had the lowest share for its leading game among the six markets shown, with Call of Duty accounting for 25.1%.

The demographic data also varied considerably between games. Across the selected co-streaming channels, the estimated audience was 88.9% male, 9.3% female, and 1.8% non-binary. Viewers aged 20 to 24 formed the largest individual age group at 31.6%, while people aged 35 and above accounted for 9.3%. Students were the largest occupational group at 31.4%, followed by white-collar professionals at 14.2% and STEM and IT professionals at 14.1%.

Those figures shifted significantly depending on the game. Students accounted for 42.4% of the Free Fire audience and 41.4% of the PUBG Mobile audience, compared with 21.2% for Street Fighter. White-collar and STEM/IT professionals combined for 37.2% of Street Fighter's estimated audience.

Age differences were similarly pronounced. Free Fire and PUBG Mobile had the largest under-20 shares among the games compared, at 40.7% and 36.3%, respectively. Street Fighter and Chess had considerably larger 30-and-over audiences, at 34% and 33.6%. Across the analyzed sample, the overall under-20 share was 25.2%, while viewers aged 30 and above represented 20.6%.

Esports Charts also identified significant differences in estimated income profiles between games. For Free Fire, 83.5% of the analyzed audience was estimated to earn under $30,000 annually, compared with 3.5% earning more than $75,000. PUBG Mobile recorded corresponding figures of 81% and 4.5%.

The gap was narrower for Call of Duty, where 43.5% of the audience was estimated to earn under $30,000 and 19.8% over $75,000. TrackMania recorded 42.9% and 19.7%, while Chess stood at 60.1% and 15.7%, respectively.

The data paints a picture of the EWC 2026 community-casting audience as a collection of distinct regional and game-specific audiences rather than one uniform global demographic. India led the overall country breakdown, but its audience composition differed sharply from markets such as Indonesia, Vietnam, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The same pattern appears across languages and demographics. English was the largest language, but it represented less than a third of community-casting watch time. Individual games also developed strong connections with particular markets, while age and occupational profiles changed substantially from one title to another.

For EWC 2026, that means the audience captured through community casting was global in reach but highly localized in how viewers consumed individual games. Esports Charts' analysis shows that understanding the event's audience requires looking beyond an overall demographic average and examining the specific game, market, and language involved.
