Savvy, Ubisoft and Roblox join Riyadh's Kingdom of Gaming

Savvy Games Group, Ubisoft and Roblox have joined the inaugural Kingdom of Gaming event, which will take place in Riyadh later this year.
The three companies have been announced under the event’s “Global Gaming Leaders” category and will be among a growing group of gaming, technology and investment organisations participating in the event from December 1 to 3 at the Riyadh Exhibition & Convention Center in Malham.
Tuwaiq Academy, NEOM and Amazon Web Services have also joined Kingdom of Gaming as Founding Partners, while PUBG Mobile, Unreal Engine, Tencent Cloud, Impact46 and Merak Capital are among the other organisations confirmed to participate.
Organisers expect the event to attract more than 20,000 attendees, 500 studios and developers, 300 exhibitors and sponsors, and 200 investors.
Kingdom of Gaming will bring together companies and individuals from game development, publishing, technology, investment, government and esports, with a particular focus on business connections and investment opportunities.
“Saudi Arabia is quickly becoming a global hub for games, esports and a thriving industry ecosystem for long-term growth,” said Amr Sager, Chief of Staff at Savvy Games Group.
“Bringing industry leaders, investment and technology partners and the gaming community together here in Riyadh can help to encourage future collaborations and ongoing opportunities.”
More than 200 speakers are expected to appear across four stages during the three-day event.
Confirmed speakers include Hiro Capital co-founder and General Partner Sir Ian Livingstone, Bandai Namco Studios and Delphi Interactive CTO Julien Merceron, Yalla Group President Saifi Ismail, Kojima Productions Head of US Studio Riley Russell and Motion Blur Game Studio Director Omer Faruk Gungor.
Topics will include gaming investment, publishing, game development, artificial intelligence, original intellectual property, talent development and the development of gaming ecosystems.
The event will also feature an Investor & Startup Stage and KoG Academy, alongside workshops, training, investor meetings and executive roundtables.
KoG Academy’s programme will include Made in the Kingdom, an initiative supported by Unreal Engine that will give creators an opportunity to develop and showcase their work.
PUBG Mobile will meanwhile bring its World of Wonder creator ecosystem to the event, including a showcase of content developed by Saudi student creators.
“The gaming industry has evolved into one of the world’s most creative and commercial sectors, but there are very few platforms that bring together every part of that ecosystem,” said Annabelle Mander, Executive Vice President at event organiser Tahaluf.
“Kingdom of Gaming has been built to connect the people making investment decisions, developing games, building technology and creating new business opportunities.”
Kingdom of Gaming will combine its industry and investment programme with a consumer-facing gaming festival.
The event will be co-located with Black Hat MEA at the Riyadh Exhibition & Convention Center.
