Saudi gaming programme backs more than 127 game titles

More than 127 game titles have received development support through Saudi Arabia's Gaming and Esports Financing Program, according to a new report detailing the programme's achievements.

The National Development Fund (NDF) said more than SAR421 million ($112 million) in financing had been approved by the end of the fourth quarter of 2025, benefiting 82 entities across the sector. The programme has supported the completion of 43 games and the creation of more than 960 direct and indirect jobs.

The figures were revealed in a new report detailing the progress and achievements of the programme as Saudi Arabia continues to expand its domestic gaming industry.

The programme is designed to provide financing solutions for companies operating across the gaming and esports ecosystem, supporting business growth, investment and the development of locally produced games.

The report also highlights the role of development financing in helping gaming companies expand their operations, encourage innovation and strengthen their ability to compete locally and internationally.

It supports businesses across different parts of the gaming value chain, including game developers and publishers, gaming content companies, distributors and retailers, esports organisations and other companies providing services to the sector.

Saudi Arabia has made gaming and esports a key part of its economic diversification plans, with the Kingdom aiming to establish itself as a major global hub for the industry by 2030.
