Roblox is set to establish its regional headquarters for the Middle East and North Africa in Riyadh, expanding the gaming and creation platform's presence in Saudi Arabia as it increases its investment in the Kingdom.

The move was supported through collaboration with Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Investment (MISA), Riyadh Creative District and the General Authority of Media Regulation (GMedia), and forms part of Roblox's plans to support the country's growing creator ecosystem.

Saudi Arabia has become an increasingly important market for Roblox. The company says its daily active user base in the Kingdom has grown more than fourfold over the past five years.

Earnings generated by Saudi creators on Roblox have also increased 59% year-on-year, according to the company.

Globally, creators earned more than $1.5 billion through Roblox in 2025, as the platform continues to build an economy around user-generated games and interactive experiences.

"Our decision to establish our regional headquarters in Riyadh is a reflection of Roblox's long-term investment in Saudi Arabia and our commitment to supporting the Kingdom's digital economy objectives under Vision 2030," said Mohamed El Sheakh, Roblox General Manager for the Middle East, North Africa and Türkiye.

The Riyadh headquarters builds on Roblox's existing activity in Saudi Arabia, including its partnership with Savvy Games Group announced earlier this year.

The partnership is focused on expanding the use of Roblox as an educational tool and developing STEM skills among Saudi students, creators and game studios.

Roblox supported the Kingdom's inaugural Play to Learn competition, which attracted more than 700,000 high school students who submitted original game concepts.

The ten highest-ranked concepts were subsequently developed into playable experiences and added to Roblox's Learning Hub.

The company said it intends to continue supporting STEM education initiatives in Saudi Arabia as part of its planned regional headquarters presence.

Roblox appointed El Sheakh to lead its MENA and Türkiye operations in May as part of a wider expansion of its international leadership team. His remit includes growing Roblox's regional presence, partnerships and creator ecosystem.

The company has not announced an opening date for the Riyadh headquarters or disclosed how many employees will be based at the operation.
