Exel by Merak has announced three intensive, in-person classes aimed at developing practical skills for Saudi Arabia’s growing video games industry.
The Gaming Premium Class programme will take place at KAFD in Riyadh from October 25 to November 12, 2026. Each course will run for five evenings, Sunday through Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The programme comprises three tracks:
Video Game Studio Leadership - October 25-29: Covering leadership, communication, team building and sustainable studio operations.
AI for Game Development - November 1-5: Focusing on practical AI workflows for game development, studio operations and promotion.
Game Production and Project Management - November 8-12: Covering planning, team alignment, risk and resource management, and guiding games towards launch.
All three classes are currently scheduled to be taught by veteran video-game executive Kelly Zmak. Zmak has more than 40 years of industry experience and has led teams behind more than 300 titles, including during senior roles at Radical Entertainment and Infinite Game Publishing.
The classes combine practical work, immediately applicable tools and frameworks, expert guidance and direct feedback. Participants will also gain access to Exel’s gaming network and invitations to selected events.
No previous technical experience is required. Classes will be taught in English, although attendees may ask questions in Arabic.
Participants who attend all five days will receive an Exel Academy Certificate of Completion.
Enrolment is confirmed upon payment, with no application or approval process, and places are limited.
Registration is available through the Exel Academy Gaming Premium Class page.
