DMCC Gaming Centre will represent Dubai at Gamescom 2026 as the emirate steps up efforts to attract international developers, publishers and gaming technology companies.

The centre will take part in the Dubai Pavilion at Koelnmesse in Cologne from August 26 to 30. Visitors can meet the team at Hall 04.1, Stand A011g to B010g between 9am and 5pm.

DMCC plans to use the event to promote Dubai as a base for gaming companies looking to enter the Middle East, Africa and other international markets. Its team will offer guidance on setting up a company, obtaining specialised licences and accessing local infrastructure, partnerships and business support.

The DMCC Gaming Centre is now home to more than 150 companies across game development, publishing, esports and gaming technology. Members also gain access to workspaces, accelerator programmes, mentorship and connections with investors and other companies in Dubai’s technology ecosystem.

The pavilion is expected to attract developers, publishers, esports organisations, service providers, industry associations and investors exploring opportunities in the region.

Ahead of Gamescom, DMCC will host Made For Trade Live Cologne on August 25 at the Excelsior Hotel Ernst Köln. The morning event will examine how gaming and technology companies can establish and scale their operations from Dubai.

The programme includes a fireside chat on technology, content and international growth as well as a presentation on how companies can set up through DMCC. A panel will also discuss why global gaming businesses are choosing Dubai.

Speakers include DMCC Executive Chairman and CEO Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Senior Director of Tech Ecosystems Belal Jassoma and DMCC Gaming Centre Manager Zain Al Qudah.

They will be joined by Muna Al Falasi, Director of Esports and Games Strategy at Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, Tamatem Games founder and CEO Hussam Hammo and Exscape Head of Growth Mario Perez.

The event will also include an agreement signing, a question-and-answer session and networking for founders, investors and gaming industry executives.

Gamescom is one of the world’s largest gaming events and brings together companies, creators and players from across the international industry. This year’s exhibition will run from August 26 to 30, following Opening Night Live on August 25.
