Arabic localization in video games has evolved considerably over the past decade. While Arabic subtitles and interfaces have become increasingly common, full Arabic voice acting remains relatively rare among major international releases. A smaller group of AAA games has gone considerably further, offering complete Arabic audio alongside translated menus, subtitles, and interfaces.
This makes the games that do receive Arabic dubbing particularly significant for MENA players. They demonstrate that publishers are willing to invest in the region not simply as a market for translated text, but as an audience deserving of fully localized performances. Here's an extensive list of video games with Arabic localization:
Assassin's Creed Mirage
Assassin's Creed Mirage is arguably the most culturally significant example of Arabic game localization. Set in ninth-century Baghdad during the Islamic Golden Age, the game was built around a Middle Eastern setting, making Arabic voice acting a particularly natural fit rather than a conventional post-release localization.
Ubisoft provided an Arabic interface, subtitles, and full dialogue, allowing players to experience Basim's story with Arabic performances throughout the campaign. The result makes Mirage one of the clearest examples of a major Western publisher adapting not just its text but the entire presentation of a game to its setting and regional audience.
Marvel's Spider-Man
The original Marvel's Spider-Man received a complete Arabic voice track. The PC version of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered continues to list Arabic as full audio, although Steam does not list Arabic interface or subtitles for that version.
This distinction is important: Arabic audio does not necessarily mean that every part of the game has been localized into Arabic. Platform and regional versions can offer different combinations of voice, text, and interface support.
Horizon Zero Dawn
Horizon Zero Dawn is another major example of Sony's investment in Arabic localization. The original game received Arabic voice acting alongside an Arabic interface and subtitles, giving Aloy's lengthy journey a complete Arabic-language presentation.
The localization has attracted considerable attention among Arab players, particularly for its voice performances. At the same time, localization discussions have pointed to occasional grammatical and gender-related issues, illustrating the difficulty of adapting a large English-language script into Arabic while maintaining natural dialogue. Even the newer Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered retains the complete Arabic package on PC.
Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Forbidden West continues Sony's strong commitment to Arabic localization. The open-world sequel includes an Arabic interface, subtitles, and full voice acting, giving players an Arabic-language version of Aloy's substantially larger adventure.
Its scale is particularly noteworthy. Forbidden West contains a huge amount of dialogue, optional conversations, quests, and environmental storytelling, meaning the Arabic localization extends far beyond a relatively small set of cinematic lines.
LEGO Horizon Adventures
Sony and Guerrilla also brought full Arabic localization to LEGO Horizon Adventures, demonstrating that Arabic dubbing is not limited to serious or mature AAA productions. The family-friendly adventure features an Arabic interface, subtitles, and full audio.
It is an interesting example because the lighter tone of the LEGO adaptation provides a very different linguistic environment from Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, potentially making it one of the more accessible games for younger Arabic-speaking players.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales also features a full Arabic voice track. On Steam, Arabic is listed specifically under Full Audio, while the interface and subtitles are not marked as supported.
The game, therefore, provides another example of how Arabic dubbing can be preserved even when the PC version's written-language support differs from that of the console release.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is another Insomniac title with Arabic voice acting. The PC version officially lists Arabic under Full Audio, although not under interface or subtitles.
The inclusion is particularly interesting because Rift Apart is a colourful, family-friendly action platformer rather than a narrative-heavy realistic adventure. It shows that Arabic dubbing has been applied across different genres within Insomniac's catalogue.
Detroit: Become Human
Detroit: Become Human is arguably one of the most substantial Arabic localizations because of the sheer amount of spoken dialogue in the game.
Quantic Dream's interactive drama features thousands of branching conversations and scenes, meaning Arabic voice acting had to account for a far larger narrative script than a conventional linear action game. The PC version officially supports Arabic for the interface, full audio, and subtitles.
That makes Detroit particularly useful for players who want to experience a game almost entirely in Arabic rather than simply switching subtitles.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 goes considerably further. It supports a full Arabic interface, audio, and subtitles, making it one of the most complete Arabic-localized Insomniac games. Together, all of the Spider-Man games demonstrate an unusually consistent commitment to Arabic voice acting across one of the most famous modern franchises.
Returnal
Returnal is one of the more surprising entries on the list. Housemarque's challenging sci-fi roguelike received a complete Arabic localization. The game supports Arabic for the interface, full audio, and subtitles.
That makes Returnal particularly notable because its localization covers a relatively complex science-fiction vocabulary, extensive narrative logs, and atmospheric storytelling rather than simply translating basic gameplay instructions. For players specifically looking for a modern game with full Arabic audio and written localization, Returnal is one of the strongest examples available.
Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End features an Arabic-dubbed Nathan Drake and supporting cast, while Uncharted: The Lost Legacy also received an Arabic dub. The two games were subsequently packaged together as UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection.
The PC version of Legacy of Thieves Collection officially supports Arabic audio. This is another case where the PC version demonstrates the importance of checking the exact language categories: Steam lists Arabic audio for the collection, but does not list Arabic interface or subtitles.
Tomb Raider
The 2013 Tomb Raider reboot is another major title that received an unusually comprehensive Arabic localization. The game supports Arabic for the game's interface, full audio, and subtitles, placing it among the older AAA releases that offered a complete Arabic-language package rather than text alone.
This is significant historically because the game predates much of the current wave of Arabic localization. It demonstrates that major publishers were already experimenting with full Arabic voice production for blockbuster releases more than a decade ago.
Just Cause 3
Avalanche Studios and Square Enix provided an Arabic interface, full audio, and subtitles for Just Cause 3, making it one of the few games with full Arabic localization.
That makes Just Cause 3 a particularly interesting case because the game is neither set in the Arab world nor specifically marketed around Middle Eastern culture. Its Arabic localization therefore represents a straightforward investment in the regional audience rather than localization driven primarily by the game's setting.
Battlefield 1
Battlefield 1 is another major example, with an Arabic interface, full audio, and subtitles. The localization is especially interesting because parts of the game's World War I campaign take place in the Middle East. Arabic therefore has a particularly strong contextual relevance to some of the game's environments and characters.
Unlike Assassin's Creed Mirage, however, Battlefield 1 is a much broader historical war game, so Arabic support represents both regional accessibility and a meaningful connection to part of its setting.
LEGO Marvel's Avengers
LEGO Marvel's Avengers also received one of the more complete Arabic localizations in the Western AAA market. Steam lists an Arabic interface, full audio, and subtitles, securing the game's position as a family-friendly title that went well beyond Arabic subtitles.
Its inclusion is significant because it shows that Arabic localization has not been restricted to major cinematic PlayStation exclusives. Warner Bros. and Traveller's Tales also invested in Arabic voice production for a licensed, family-oriented franchise.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy
The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is one of the most unexpected entries in the Arabic-dubbing landscape. All three remade games have an Arabic interface, full audio, and subtitles.
That makes the trilogy particularly notable for younger audiences and families. The relatively simple vocabulary and comedic tone also make it a potentially accessible way for Arabic-speaking players to experience a major game entirely in the language.
Days Gone
Days Gone is another interesting example of platform-specific localization. The PC version officially lists Arabic under Full Audio, but not under interface or subtitles.
This means players can hear the game's dialogue in Arabic without necessarily receiving a fully translated Arabic interface on the PC version. It is a reminder that "Arabic supported" can mean very different things depending on the platform and regional SKU.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
The Witcher 3 is one of the landmark examples of extensive Arabic text localization. Its enormous quest script, dialogue, and interface were translated into Arabic, making it particularly significant given the game's sheer volume of written content.
Unlike the games above, however, it should not be classified as a fully Arabic-dubbed game. Its importance comes from the scale of its Arabic text localization.
Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 provides extensive Arabic localization for its interface and subtitles. The game's futuristic terminology, enormous script, and complex right-to-left interface make it a particularly demanding localization project.
It is another example of a major Western RPG being made substantially more accessible to Arabic-speaking players without producing a full Arabic voice track.
The Last of Us franchise
Sony has also provided Arabic text and subtitle support for The Last of Us games. These are important narrative releases, but they should not be placed in the same category as Detroit: Become Human or Horizon Forbidden West when discussing full Arabic dubbing.
FIFA and EAFC
The FIFA franchise and its successor, EA Sports FC, have featured Arabic commentary in MENA releases. This is arguably one of the most widely experienced forms of Arabic voice localization in gaming because football has an enormous audience across the region.
PES and eFootball
Konami's PES and eFootball series have similarly supported Arabic commentary. These games should not technically be grouped with narrative games such as Assassin's Creed Mirage or Detroit: Become Human. Arabic commentary is a different localization category, but its cultural and commercial impact in MENA is arguably even greater.

Arabic localization is no longer limited to regional releases or games with Middle Eastern settings. From superhero blockbusters and open-world RPGs to family games and roguelikes, major publishers have increasingly demonstrated that Arabic-speaking players are a meaningful global audience for fully localized games.
For MENA, that shift is significant. Arabic dubbing does more than make games easier to understand. It gives regional players the opportunity to experience characters, jokes, emotional performances, and entire stories in their own language, and, in cases like Assassin's Creed Mirage, it can also make a game's cultural setting feel considerably more authentic.
